Well, here goes nothing.
This is my first entry of many (god willing)! The purpose of this blog is to document my diet/weight loss efforts and my overall efforts towards achieving a healthier lifestyle. The reason I called this blog "Tree Before the Forest" is that my mom always told me that I should just look at the individual tree right in front of me before looking at the forest in its entirety. So, my first tree to look at is day one of my diet plan. Tomorrow, I plan on starting myself on the Weight Watchers Points system AND joining my local gym for a 30 day trial membership. I have done Points before and had a lot of success with it. However, for some reason I stopped, and gained weight back.
So, why blog about it? I figure that if I feel the need to post an entry everyday, that will serve as motivation to stay on my plan! I always have had will power issues and I'm hoping that by blogging, I am able to get past my issues and be successful. If its that time of day when I am going to blog, I don't want to let myself down and have to post my failures--I want to post successes! That is how the blog is going to inspire me to have drive and will power on my new plan. So, the blogging isn't really for anyone else but myself. I'm using it as a motivational tool that will hopefully guide me to success!
We'll see how this all goes, and I'm really hoping for the best here! Hopefully blogging is the method by which I will ultimately achieve my goals. Not to mention the diet and exercise.
Cross your fingers! Hey, you never know...maybe I'm in the process of finding the ultimate diet secret! Haha
